when life is tough, apply lipstick

Conversation held yesterday with my 4-year-old:

Anika: “Mommy, do I HAVE to have a shower?”
Me: “Yes”
Anika: “Okayyyyy, I’ll just put my lipstick on!”

What I've learned:
When you have no choice, apply lipstick, smile and get on with it :)

  1. This reminds me of my nan. She taught me to always wear lipstick. Even at the end when she was really sick, she had her scarlet lipstick on in the hospital. Bless her :)

  5. Love this, it makes me smile.

Years ago, when I was a missionary in Uruguay, the only make up I wore was lipstick. It made me feel put-together. :)
